Third board meeting of IT'IS USA

IT'IS USA held its second board meeting on January 18, 2013.

Present were:

• Quirino Balzano, PhD
• Niels Kuster, PhD
• Boris Pasche, MD, PhD
• Gal Shafirstein, D.Sc.
• Davnah Payne, PhD

Updates:

• An additional paper on EMF-induced inhibition of cancer cell proliferation has been accepted for publication in the British Journal of Cancer (Zimmerman et al., BJC, 2011) and additional clinical studies are preformed.
• Gal Shafirstein updated the board on his new position at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The work at Roswell Park is mostly focused on photodynamic therapy, including treatment planning and 3D dose maps, and on the organization of multi-center clinical trials.
